Icarus

Icarus (1566): Icarus was discovered in 1949 and is an Apollo asteroid. In Greek mythology, Icarus is known for his attempt to escape Crete using wings made of feathers and wax. He flew too close to the sun, causing the wax to melt and him to fall to his death. In astrology, Icarus represents themes of recklessness, overambition, and the consequences of unchecked hubris. Its placement in a chart may indicate areas where individuals may experience the urge to push boundaries, take risks, or confront the consequences of their impulsive actions.
